Safeguarding and Getting Help
Version 0.3 draft. Effective date to be confirmed on approval.
A safe place to learn
Edge AI Skills aims to provide a respectful, supported learning environment. You can raise a concern about behaviour, unwanted contact, unsafe content, inappropriate sharing or anything that makes participation feel unsafe.
You do not need an approved portal account to find help. Raising a genuine concern will not by itself remove your learning access.
How to raise a concern
Use Awaiting confirmation. This route is monitored during Awaiting confirmation; it is not monitored continuously unless we expressly say otherwise. If your concern relates to your tutor or usual contact, use Awaiting confirmation.
You may also speak to the designated safeguarding lead at your college or delivery organisation. We will explain which organisation is responsible for responding in your delivery arrangement.
Do not upload sensitive case information into a public form, shared portfolio or general feedback box. Tell us enough to arrange an appropriate confidential discussion, and we will explain a safe way to provide further details.
What happens next
An authorised person will assess the concern, take appropriate action and explain the next steps where it is safe to do so. Access to the report is restricted to people with a justified role.
We respect privacy but cannot promise absolute confidentiality. Information may need to be shared with appropriate safeguarding professionals or authorities to protect someone, or as required by law. We will limit and record the sharing and consider whether contacting a parent or guardian could create further risk.
Immediate danger
This portal is not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, call 999 or contact the appropriate emergency service where you are. Do not wait for a portal reply.
