Start with a task that matters, use tools approved for your setting and check the result with people. Build evidence of what you did, what needed correcting and what you would do differently. Confidence matters, but it is not the same as demonstrated capability.

The proof of concept is designed to test practical capability, learner experience and the usefulness of reviewed evidence. Feedback and assessed capability are considered separately, with findings shared when evidence and permissions allow. We do not yet claim verified EAS productivity gains or financial returns.

Science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. Creativity, imagination, design and communication sit alongside technical understanding. EAS connects these strengths with responsible AI practice, so people from creative and technical backgrounds can contribute together.

What progress means

Foundation, Bronze, Silver and Gold describe depth of capability. Not everyone needs every level. Breadth and renewal include new contexts and targeted refreshers, with earlier achievements retained.

Less duplication is the aim, not a measured result claimed here. Scope, appropriate provision, access and support are agreed.

The model describes our intended reach. Age-specific and specialist provision is developed and confirmed with suitable partners.

    Pre-Foundation

    A light optional start. Policies, safe habits and shared understanding before any programme begins.

    Foundation

    Core responsible AI foundations. Practical use, checking, risk and human judgement on real tasks.

    Bronze

    Applying learning to workplace projects with individual evidence, reviewed at the gateway.

  4. 4

    Your next step

    Silver, Gold and advanced learning, another employer route, specialist support or continued practice. The choice stays with you.

Continuing to another stage is your choice. Entry, completion and progression remain subject to the relevant programme requirements and evidence review. Your next step may be deeper learning, a refresher or applying what you have learned.

Build on what you know. Return when your role, goals or tools change.

Availability, support and any cost depend on your programme. A refresher does not automatically renew a certificate or award a new level.

Beyond GoldFuture pathways in development

For people and organisations ready to take their capability further, we are exploring advanced routes into innovation and larger, multidisciplinary projects.

Platinum · Applied innovation

Develop and test new approaches through supervised, cross-functional projects. The proposed focus is problem discovery, experimentation, responsible AI and agentic workflows, evaluation and a credible case for adoption.

Diamond · Strategic projects and scale

Contribute to or lead complex, multi-partner programmes with substantial delivery and governance requirements. The proposed focus is integration, assurance, organisational change and evidence of sustained value.

These pathways are being developed. Entry requirements, delivery partners, assessment, availability and pricing are not yet confirmed.
